Is your area in lockdown?

I know a lot of places around the world are facing lockdowns with places being closed and people being told to stay home. Some are even home from work.

I work from home but even I am experiencing a slowing in what I do. I spend most of my time at home though so this lockdown isn't really changing much for me. I can't imagine how people who are used to being out and busy most days feel.

If you are in lockdown, what are you doing to keep busy?

I am home from work. For at least the next week and a half.

Restaurants are being closed. Only open for drive-thru or delivery or carry out. Stores are reducing hours here too. Schools canceled, vet offices only taking appointments and no walk-ins. My dentist's office is only open for emergencies.

A bit the same here, work from home, so for me there is not a lot of difference.

We are not in total lockdown, yet.

What really gets on my nerves are the media, t.v. newspapers online sites: one horrorstory after anothers, as if they are in competition to get the most shocking story.

Like one newspaper was sort of screaming in big letters: 21 year old dies of coronavirus. However, when you start reading the article turns it turns this person was suffering from leukemia.

We're not in lockdown yet, but I'm hearing rumors online that some places in the US may enact martial law. I'm kind of worried about that, but I don't expect it to happen. I also heard rumors of a possible curfew for some places, which I believe will happen. But so far, no lockdown here. In michigan all the cases of the coronavirus have happened downstate, and here in the UP of MI we haven't had any cases yet.

The media is making things so much worse with all their fear-mongering. Getting on my dang nerves at this point.

Yeah, we have most places closed. You can still access places via drive-thru or if they offer pick-up, they only allow a few people inside at a time. Being off work sucks a lot though cause I have no money coming in. Not sure what I am going to do about my bills.

Not yet, only a night-time curfew that is currently running from 11pm to 6am. I'm not sure if they will fine or arrest people who are outside during that time.

A lot of places are excusing monthly billing so be sure to check yours. My internet provider is not billing anyone if they can't pay due to no income coming in. And if you have a car lease, they are freezing the monthly bills for that too. It is worth looking into!

Going to have to look into this before I pay my bills. If I don't have to, I won't and I will save the money and put it towards food and what not.
