Is it wise to fly coronapatients home?

What we see now is that a lot of countries are evacuating corona patients from China or other places in Asia.

The US has flown home 14 infected patients that were on the cruiseship Diamond Princess.

Apparently president Trump was furious because nobody told him.

According to the Washington Post:

Trump was briefed on the decision and agreed that healthy passengers should not be on the plane with sick ones, three senior administration officials said. But the State Department and a top U.S. health official ultimately decided to bring back the 14 Americans who tested positive for the virus on the planes and place them in isolation — without informing the president first.
Apart from the fact that the president was not informed, do you think it's a good idea to fly these people home?
Or would it be wiser to treat them in Asia until they recover and then transport them home..

What do you think?

I think bringing them home would be fine, but maybe quarantine them when they arrive back in the states. I imagine that's kind of how they would do it here. But I could be wrong.

As long as they're quarantined I think it'll be fine.

My gut instinct is to say quarantine them at the place of diagnosis to avoid further spreading, but I'm not sure if that's always practical.

I think that because of flying all these people back instead of treating and/or quarantining them in the country where they came in contact with the virus, you take a hell of a risk.

According to the World Health Organisation we are now at the critical point that will decide if this virus will turn into a worldwide pandemic or not.

I think it already has and that this is partly due to flying all these people home. Now all of a sudden there is a massive outbreak of cases in the north of Italy around Milan. There is total panic which is not really reported in the media and everybody is scared.

The supermarkets over there look like this:

Nobody bothered to buy a face mask when they could, now you can't get them.

Parts of northern Italy are turning into ghost towns.

And maybe most worrying off all, there is also a massive outbreak of cases in Iran. Due to all the economic sanctions there is no way this country will be able to deal with this situation, so from Iran it will spread like wildfire throughout the Middle East and from their around the world.

I am a realist, but I got some face masks. By the time you need them, there won't be any left to buy. Do not underestimate this virus.

The governemt buys facemasks, so should you.
