This is something I never really understood. We have a society that adores celebrities. It just doesn't make much sense to me. I always feel like you should be the protagonist in your own life, and why bother having heroes who are just made of flesh and blood too? We are all inherently equal.

Do you have any celebrities you follow or admire? Without being condescending, I'd love to know why. Just for the sake of conversation of curiosity on my part, I suppose. I won't mock you. :ROFLMAO:

I don't get it either. It reminds me of high school. Like these people have money and popularity so everyone loves them... It makes no sense. I remember people doing the same for the popular kids in school. It grossed me out then but this grosses me out even more. Just because someone has money and is well known doesn't mean they need to be worshipped.

Yeah, agreed. I just feel nauseous hearing about Kylie Jenner spending $75,000 on a hotel room. It immediately signals to me that like, this person is crazy, snobby, totally out of touch with reality. It's very unattractive too.

When you think about it, it is really silly. But then again, did we not all have a fase when we were young when we had heroes. Either popstars, moviestars, sportstars or whatever.

We probablyh use these people as sort of role models. Like I always wished I could be more like James Bond, something I never was in real life.

But then again when you grow a bit older and don't need any rolemodels, it sort of disappears I think.

I do have a semi-celebrity and an A-list celebrity role model. One is Sarah Landry. I listen to her podcasts and follow her on social media. The other is Emma Watson. I find the two of them incredibly inspiring and uplifting. They are pioneers for women. They are amazing.

That's a good point. Some people can be very inspriring to others. From that point it is obviously a good thing.

For me one of the most inspiring people is the British philosopher who died in 1973.

Who are you really? An amazing lecture given by Alan Watts a British philosopher, writer, and speaker.
